I'm considering refinishing the hull and deck of my 33T with Imron/Awlgrip or gelcoat. Am interested in opinion/experience with this kind of project from other owners. Currently in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. Thanks--Ken Kabb S/V Jade Moon |

Bill, Thanks for your note. Here in PuertoLa Cruz, Venezuela it's possible to have either new gelcoat or 2-part poly sprayed. Labor costs are quite reasonable, and gelcoat is very labor-intensive. Paint is faster, and the material costs are higher. My question about paint is how long does it take to dull, and how does one repair a scratch or gouge without it looking terrible. It's a big step and, once done, we will have to live with it! Ken |
