Hello to everyone,
Just introducing ourselves. We are Susie and Greg Smith and own “Sea Stallion”, a HC33 which we purchased last year (hull 130). She is living in Brisbane Queensland and is our pride and joy after moving on from our Duncanson 29. We are sorry for the delay in introducing ourselves and hope to take advantage of the massive knowledge base attached to this association. Looking forward to talking with you. Kind regards Greg & Susie

Hopefully I will be saying the same thing pretty soon here if things go my way. I hope to have my very own pride and joy by the end of the summer!!

There is tons of info on this board and everybody seems to be very nice and informative.

Enjoy your stay!

Andy

Welcome Aboard!

We are newbies as well, having only had our boat (our first) 6 months. There is a lot of information
on the board and the few regular visitors are very knowledgeable so dont hold back if you have any questions.

Our website/blog has an incomplete list of HC boats. If you see any other HC's (of any size) down in
Australia, please check out their boat info and email us if they are not already listed on our web site.
It has been very difficult for us to get any information from Australian boats.

Thank you,
Lance & Carol

I just got caught backup on reading the posts. Want to welcome all four of you and your new boats. I have a 1984 HC 33 I bought two years ago. Shearwater was in very sad shape. The orignal owner had lived on her for over 17 years. While he kept the engine and sails up every thing else he did not. The basic boat is sound and I think you will find the HC are built like tanks.

The forum has a lot of information and there are some folks who know the stuff (although they are a bit homely) and are glad to help. I have restored other boats (nothing this invloved) and am replaceing, upgrading, and adding many systems. If you are going to repair, upgrade, or add anything and want some help I will be glad to help.

Tony

Hi Greg & Susie
Congratulations on your purchase, loverly boat. Wellcome aboard and fair winds. I wondered what happened to Sea Stallion as as I had not seen her in her usual berth. Thats 3 HC33's on Moreton Bay now. We need to have a Regatta!

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the silence but work is a drag! Sea Stallion’s doing well and getting out there although I have a question for the group? We are looking at solar panels but trying to find a location that would not detract from the sheer beauty of the boat is a problem. Any ideas?
Mick, we saw you going out last Sunday from Manly as we were driving down to Muirs – she looked great. How do you find your boom works on the stay sail as ours never had one. I’d be keen to have a chat with you over a coffee or a beer one day if you have time? Same goes to any other HC owners in Manly marina, Brisbane.

Cheers
Greg & Susie - Sea Stallion

Hey Paul and Zandra. Thanks for your reply and I’d love to see the photos. Feel free to email me direct if that’s easier (greg.smith@dbctm.com.au). Would love to see you in sunny Brisbane in 2013. We are in RQYS at the Manly Marina with Mick in Respite over in East Coast Marina, but in the same boat harbour. It would be brilliant to have all three boats sailing on the bay together and if we can do that, we’ll definitely get someone on another boat to get photos! Kind regards Greg & Susie
